Sando, Reese share details on westward expansion

Preliminary talks centered on creating a new housing development in Hillsboro on the west side of Interstate 29 appear to be picking up steam.
Hillsboro City Commission President Terry Sando told the Hillsboro Economic Development Corp. on Monday that he’d like to see crews break ground for the development as soon this spring.
Sando said Total Ag Industries President Pat Muller, who owns the land where the development would be built, appears on board with Hillsboro’s westward expansion.
“He seems to be pretty excited about it,” Sando said. “It seems like a good property to work on for the (city’s) next development.”
