Structural Repairs & Utilities Grant Program
The Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation is committed to supporting local businesses and strengthening our community. The Structural Repairs & Utilities Grant helps business property owners maintain safe, functional, and welcoming commercial spaces within Hillsboro city limits.
Who Can Apply
- Owners of commercial real estate within Hillsboro city limits.
- Properties must be occupied by an operating, income-producing business.
- One grant per business property (structural or utility).
(Note: Residential rental properties such as apartments are not eligible.)
What the Grant Covers
This program provides matching funds for essential improvements that keep our business community strong. Grants may be used for:
Structural Repairs – Up to $2,500 per business (dollar-for-dollar match) for projects like:
- Roof, window, or door repair
- Foundation or concrete work
- Tuckpointing or asbestos abatement
Utility Repairs – Up to $5,000 per business for projects like:
- Water, sewer, or gas line repairs
- Electrical system improvements
