Pastor Allen Kramp’s move from Wisconsin to North Dakota will be a big adjustment for Kramp and his wife, Ginger.

But the 61-year-old minister may find that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Kramp has been named the new pastor at St. John Lutheran in Hillsboro after a three-year stint at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville, Wis.

“It’ll be a very different setting from what I’ve been serving in Wisconsin,” Kramp said Tuesday by phone. “But I’ve served in other smaller communities. I’ve kind of missed the small church setting where you get to know people well.”

Kramp and his wife will hit the road next week for the nearly nine-hour drive to St. John Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, where Kramp will take over following the departure of Pastor Jacob Swenson and his wife, Faith, more than a year ago.
