Hillsboro Public Schools Superintendent Paula Suda has been named North Dakota Superintendent of the Year by the North Dakota Association of School Administrators.

Suda, who replaced Mike Bitz as the district’s superintendent in 2010, said she knew about the pending statewide honor a month ago.

However, she asked that the award announcement be postponed until after her marriage Friday, Nov. 23 to longtime local attorney Ross Keller.

“It’s been quite a week – a great week,” Suda said Wednesday.
